A valid commercial registration showing animal import or trading activity, in line with the competent authority's requirements.
Start with the permit and health conditions—not with the purchase
Shipments of sheep, goats, cattle and camels are subject to Saudi competent-authority approval and health conditions that may vary by species, origin and disease situation. Reservation and shipment timing should therefore not be fixed until the active import permit and its written conditions have been reviewed.
Notice: This is a commercial and operational guide. It does not replace the import permit or the current instructions of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, customs or other competent authorities.

Saudi importer readiness
The buyer or importer in the Kingdom leads the destination-side permit and lawful receipt process.
Holding facility
A suitable shelter, farm or facility; approval or inspection may be required depending on the activity and procedure.
Naama access
Importer account, establishment data and an authorized representative to submit and follow the application.
Final destination
Entry port, receiving point, farm capacity and destination-side transport arrangement.

Confirm before animals are reserved
A purchase request must be converted into verifiable execution conditions.
- Obtain a valid prior import permit before the shipment is moved.
- Confirm that the origin country and requested species are eligible at the time of execution.
- Obtain the tests, vaccinations, quarantine and health conditions stated in the permit.
- Confirm the authorized entry port, arrival window and quarantine capacity.
- Send the permit and its conditions to Regional Livestock Bridge before supplier approval or shipment.

Origin-side preparation
- Animal selection
Match species, sex, quantity, weight or age and visible condition to the approved quotation.
- Veterinary compliance
Complete the tests, vaccinations, quarantine and identification required by the import permit.
- Official documents
Obtain the government veterinary health certificate, certificate of origin and any required quarantine or laboratory certificates.
- Consignment reconciliation
Verify animals, identification, documents and transport data before loading.

Arrival, quarantine and customs release
The consignment is subject to document review, veterinary inspection, quarantine procedures and customs formalities at the port. A mismatch in conditions, quantity, identity or health status can cause delay, detention, re-export or rejection according to the competent authority's decision.

Port delivery or farm delivery
Port delivery
Regional Livestock Bridge's responsibility ends at the written delivery point; the buyer handles clearance and local transport when they are not included.
Delivery to buyer site
The quotation must state destination transport, vehicles, timing, offloading and proof of delivery.
Farm readiness
Adequate space, water, feed, reception or isolation area and labor for unloading and checking.
Delivery close-out
A signed record confirms quantity, condition, place, time and documented exceptions.
