Veterinary, Quarantine and Documentation Workflow

How destination requirements become an executable inspection, preparation and document plan.

Practical information before commercial commitment

Requirements depend on origin, destination, disease risk and route

There is no single checklist for every shipment. The plan starts with the destination import permit or conditions, then aligns them with origin health status, species, route and timing. Tests, vaccination, quarantine and validity periods are determined by competent authorities and the approved transaction documents.

Veterinary, Quarantine and Documentation Workflow

  1. 01 — Confirm destination import conditions

Obtain the latest competent-authority conditions: permitted species and origins, permits, target diseases, tests, vaccination, quarantine and health-certificate wording.

  2. 02 — Verify source eligibility

Review the farm, area or assembly centre, current health restrictions, and the ability to isolate, identify and complete the required programme.

  3. 03 — Select and identify animals

Conduct initial inspection, match species, age, weight and condition, exclude unsuitable animals, and apply required identification or group records.

  4. 04 — Pre-export isolation or quarantine

Move the group into the approved or agreed facility, control entry and exit, monitor daily, provide feed and water, and record treatment, mortality or removal.

  5. 05 — Tests, vaccination and treatments

Perform only the officially required actions at the specified timing and method through authorised veterinarians or laboratories, with traceable results.

  6. 06 — Final inspection and health certification

The authorised veterinarian or authority confirms compliance and fitness for transport, then issues the required certificate or endorsement within its validity window.

  7. 07 — Transport and loading plan

Review stocking density, ventilation, feed, water, stops, weather, journey duration, contingency procedures and vehicle/vessel hygiene.

  8. 08 — Arrival inspection or destination quarantine

Present documents to the competent authority and complete arrival inspection, sampling or quarantine according to the permit and local rules.

  9. 09 — Record retention and close-out

Compile permits, test results, certificates, transport records, delivery evidence and incident records for traceability and any claim or audit.
