Buying and Importing Goats for Oman: Practical Checklist

For goat orders to Oman, small differences in weight group, port choice and delivery point can change the total price. Make these choices clear before accepting an offer.

What to check before deciding

  • Split goat quantities into weight ranges and state whether male animals are required.
  • Confirm whether the destination is Salalah, Muscat or another location and name the actual receiving port.
  • Ask the Omani importer to verify current permissions, animal-health rules and entry requirements.
  • Separate the price up to the export port from the price to the Omani port or final delivery point.

A common mistake

Do not confuse the exporting port with the port where the customer will receive the livestock.

Three simple steps

  1. Write the animal type, quantity, weight and delivery location.
  2. Check real availability, health requirements, paperwork and written costs.
  3. Do not confirm a purchase or send money without clear agreed terms.

What to do next

Provide RLB the goat type, quantity, weight groups and exact Omani port and city.
